MARKETING ASSISTANT

MAYA seeks a “Green” Marketing Communications consultant with experience in the energy industry to work at our Los Angeles or D.C. office.
Requirements:
•Must have 5+ years experience developing energy/environmental public relations/advertising
campaigns.
•Must be Internet-savvy writer to spearhead new media initiatives.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills mandatory.
•Strong technical writing and editing.
•Experience with the following regulations: EPACT 2005 and Executive Orders 13423.
•BA or BS required.

Responsibilities include: account management; design and implement energy awareness campaigns; build relationships with utility companies, energy providers and energy associations; develop strategies to leverage the power of Web trends and technologies to build conversations with key stakeholders; coordinate blog and podcast production and promotion; conduct interviews; write content for microsites, e-mail campaigns, RSS, blogs and newsletters; develop energy saving strategies for traditional communications; produce well-written documents on energy projects for federal energy managers and the media.
Salary: Consultant position, part-time, DOE.
